It is the discipline that applies Engineering Physics and Material science principles to Design, Analyze, and Manufacture & maintain DiplomaMECHANICAL systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the Engineering disciplines. Working in cohesion with Electrical and Electronic devices DiplomaMECHANICAL department improves the performance and efficiecny in Design and Manufacturing field by employing automation and Robotics. Now a days DiplomaMECHANICAL Engineering is progressing into the realms of opertaing machinery with high accuracy albeit reduced manpower resulting in highly profitable, reliable products that satisfy the customer
UG program is incepted in 2010 with the sanctioned intake of 60 seats and enhanced to additional intake of 60 seats in 2012. PG program is incepted in 2014 with the sanctioned intake of 24 seats.
The Department has developed its Vision, Mission, Programme Outcomes, and Programme Educational Objectives keeping in line with the institute overall objectives. Teaching-Learning system has accommodated various OBE (Outcome Based Education) methodologies and strategies like organizing QC activities.
The department has STUDENT CLUB Association (MEESA) through which students are allowed to enrich their technical knowledge by attending / participating National level workshops, seminars and working model exhibitions.
