The Department of Electrical & Electronics is one of the core branches of engineering and provides theoretical & practical knowledge to the students. Electricity and its applications also play a vital role in improving living conditions of the people and powering many different industries.
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students for B.Tech programme. The Department offered M.Tech programme in Electrical Power systems from the academic year 2012 with an intake of 24. The department has started Diploma Course in Electrical & Electronics Engineering in the academic year 2013 with an intake of 60 and the department received ISO: 9001:2008 certification.
The department has grown to a level in terms of infrastructural and academic standards on par with other premier institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Department has excellent lab facilities with state of art equipment. The Department has well experienced faculty and maintains a faculty student ratio of 1:15 as per AICTE norms.
All the laboratories viz., Electrical Circuits, Electrical Machines, Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation, Control Systems, Power Electronics and Simulation lab are fully equipped to carry out the experiments as per JNTUA Syllabus and also beyond curriculum for B.Tech & M.Tech Programmes to impart practical knowledge to students who can take up any assignment after their graduation/post graduation.
